Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and insightful Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This is a Full-Time, remote position based in Winnipeg, Canada. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into valuable business insights, directly contributing to our mission of enhancing financial planning and analysis for our clients. You will be responsible for analysing large datasets, developing reports, and identifying trends that will help shape key business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques to provide ongoing reports.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritise business and information needs.
  • Create clear and compelling data visualisations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting and analysis activities.
  • Work closely with finance and product teams to understand and define new data-driven opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases (SQL etc.), and programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable.
  • A degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) concepts would be a strong advantage.
