Our transportation team keeps fresh product moving every day, starting before sunrise.<br><br><strong>About The Role<br><br></strong>We are looking for an experienced, dependable dispatcher to run our early-morning operation remotely. You will be the first point of contact for drivers and vendors at the start of the day. You will handle same-day requests and solve problems as they come up.<br><br><strong><strong>This role works 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Eastern Time<br><br></strong></strong><strong>What You'll Do<br><br></strong><ul><li>Answer and manage driver and operator calls, resolving issues that come up during morning operations - Communicate with vendors by email about pickups, deliveries, and changes </li><li>Receive, schedule, and dispatch same-day requests</li><li>Respond to immediate operational problems such as delays, equipment issues, and driver availability, and escalate when needed </li><li>Keep accurate records of dispatch activity and changes</li><li>Coordinate with the evening dispatcher and transportation leadership for a smooth handoff<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written (required) </li><li>2+ years of experience in dispatching, transportation, or logistics coordination</li><li>Comfortable handling a high volume of calls and working under time pressure</li><li>Strong written communication for vendor email correspondence </li><li>Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet workspace, and a working phone/headset</li><li>Able to work independently and make sound decisions without on-site supervision</li><li>Experience dispatching Class A and Class B drivers<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience in produce, refrigerated, or food distribution </li><li>Experience with dispatch, routing, or TMS software</li></ul>
