College Admissions Coach (Remote, California Based).
The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is seeking experienced college admissions coaches to assist students in grades 9-12 with all aspects of the college planning and application process.<br><br>Position: College Admissions Coach<br><br>Classification: W2<br><br>Hours: 4-10 / week<br><br>Meeting duration: 60 minutes<br><br>Location: Remote, CA based<br><br>From the Chapter:<br><br>We're looking for experienced former admissions officers, current IECs, or high school college counselors to work with families in need guidance on the college admissions journey.<br><br>Day-to-day activities might include the following:<br><br><ul><li> Monthly, bimonthly, or weekly meetings with students and parents to create and review college admissions strategy</li><li> Develop a balanced college list based on students' goals, backgrounds, and interests</li><li> Provide college essay support and feedback</li><li> Plan application submission timeline and strategy (ED 1, ED 2, EA, Reg. Decision, etc.)</li><li> Curate students' activities resume</li><li> Plan for and request letters of recommendation</li><li> Provide admissions interview coaching</li><li> Plan for campus visits and tours</li><li> Manage academic, standardized test, and extracurricular plans for students</li><li> Coach students through independent projects</li><li> Update meeting notes after each session</li><li> Review and compare admissions offers with students and families</li><li> Maintain open and regular lines of communication with students and parents to ensure that clients feel supported<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Earned Bachelor's </li><li>4-10 hours/ week of availability</li><li>At least two years of experience as one of the following:</li><ul><li>Associate Dean/ Director of Admissions from a US four year degree granting college or university</li><li>College Prep Guidance Counselor</li><li>Independent Educational Consultant (individuals only, no firms)</li></ul><li>An outgoing, empathetic personality along with strong relationship-building skills</li><li>Proven, exceptional writing skills</li><li>The ability to work independently</li><li>Strong attention to detail and strong project management skills</li><li>High degree of confidence with web-conferencing, document sharing, online lesson delivery, and scheduling software<br><br></li></ul><strong>Benefits<br><br></strong><ul><li>$85-$95/hr commensurate</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Reliable demand</li></ul>
