Job Description Position Title: Warehouse Associate Department: Warehouse Position Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Position Summary: In this position, your day will consist of operating Material Handling Equipment to move around the warehouse to prepare products for shipping and/or receiving. You will be expected to follow Health & Safety and Food Safety standards and ensure the accuracy of the orders for customer service excellence. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Safely operate Material Handling Equipment, including pre-shift and post-shift equipment check.</li><li>Working in a variety of temperature zones from dry (15 degrees) to freezer (-20 degrees Celsius).</li><li>Complete and keep up to date on all Health & Safety, food safety and quality assurance training pertinent to the role. </li><li>Responsible for reporting any and all concerns related to the Health & Safety, safe handling and integrity of all items received, stored and distributed by Flanagan Foodservice.</li><li>Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices.</li><li>Daily housekeeping activities to ensure a clean and safe environment.</li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul>Order Selector Duties <ul><li>Lifting and loading food and other products onto pallets (up to 80 lbs).</li><li>Accurately selecting products using a computerized inventory system.</li><li>Scanning and placing labels on product and building pallet based on sequence.</li><li>Preparing pallets for shipping to our customers. </li></ul>Loader Duties <ul><li>Communicate information with various team members on shift and at cross over. </li><li>Ensure safety of trailers when in the loading dock. </li><li>Preparing trailers for food distribution as per Food Safety procedures. Complete all required paperwork and documentation as per standards. </li></ul>Receiver Duties <ul><li>Communicate information with various team members on shift and at cross over. </li><li>Ensure safety of trailers when in the loading dock.</li><li>Complete all required paperwork and documentation as per standards. </li><li>Inspect trailer for Food Safety standards as per procedures. </li></ul>Reach Truck Operator Duties <ul><li>Accurately put away products as per Food Safety Standards.</li><li>Accurately replenishment of pick locations as per Food Safety standards. </li></ul>Required Qualifications: <ul><li>A minimum of 6 months warehouse experience.</li><li>Experience operating material handling equipment.</li><li>Experience with electronic picking equipment is preferred.</li><li>Ability to work in a past paced, physically demanding environment - lifting (from 10 to 80 lbs).</li><li>Good communication skills (reading and writing) and strong customer service mentality.</li><li>Ability to work in multiple environments including colder climates - refrigerated and freezer areas.</li><li>A good attitude, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.</li><li>Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices.</li><li>Regular and reliable attendance. </li></ul>Unique Requirements: <ul><li>Ability to work in multiple environments including colder climates - refrigerated and freezer areas.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment - lifting (from 10 to 80 lbs).</li><li>Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices.</li><li>Safely operate an end rider, including pre-shift and post-shift equipment check. </li></ul>Be Part of the Legacy!
