Job Description

Responsibilities:

Guest Communication & Support

Respond to guest inquiries promptly across platforms (Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, etc.)

Manage booking requests, changes, and cancellations

Provide guests with check-in/check-out instructions, house rules, and local recommendations

Handle emergency or escalated guest concerns with professionalism and care

Booking & Calendar Management

Monitor and manage availability calendars to prevent double bookings

Ensure pricing and minimum stay settings are correct across platforms

Coordinate with cleaning teams and maintenance based on bookings

Administrative & Operational Tasks

Organize and track guest reviews, performance metrics, and occupancy rates

Maintain documentation for expenses, guest issues, and work orders

Assist in updating property descriptions, photos, and listing information

Help with vendor communication (cleaners, handymen, etc.)

Call Management

Answer or return calls related to guest inquiries, vendor coordination, or emergency issues

Act as the first point of contact for general inquiries and escalate when needed

Requirements

Prior 2-3 years experience as a Virtual Assistant for short term rental is a "MUST"

Familiarity with Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and channel management tools

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Availability to respond to messages and calls during business hours, with some flexibility for urgent matters

Tech-savvy – able to use online tools, spreadsheets, and mobile apps efficiently

Nice to Have

Experience with property management systems (e.g., Hostaway, Guesty, Lodgify)

Knowledge of customer service practices in hospitality

Ability to work across time zones if needed
