Good Dogs Only is a Toronto-based dog lifestyle brand creating elevated essentials for modern dog owners. We believe your dog shouldn’t ruin your aesthetic—which is why we design timeless harnesses, collars and accessories inspired by fashion, not the pet aisle.We’re an early-stage startup with big ambitions, growing quickly through social media, e-commerce and retail partnerships. About The Role
We’re looking for a creative video editor to help bring the Good Dogs Only brand to life across TikTok, Instagram Reels and other social platforms.You’ll work directly with the founder, turning raw footage into engaging, high-performing videos that feel authentic, aesthetic and shareable. This isn’t just about cutting clips together—we’re looking for someone with a great eye for pacing, storytelling and internet culture.
This role is ideal for a university or college student completing a co-op placement, or someone looking for part-time experience with a fast-growing consumer brand.
What You'll Do
- Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels and other social platforms.
- Transform raw footage into polished, engaging content.
- Add captions, sound effects, music, motion graphics and visual elements where appropriate.
- Stay on top of social media trends and suggest creative editing styles and formats.
- Organize video assets and manage multiple editing projects.
- Collaborate directly with the founder to experiment with new content ideas and help shape the creative direction of the brand.
- Has experience editing short-form social content.
- Is proficient in Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut or DaVinci Resolve.
- Has a strong sense of storytelling, pacing and visual style.
- Loves social media and understands what makes content engaging.
- Is organized, reliable and excited to work in a startup environment.
- Has a portfolio (personal projects are absolutely welcome).
- Love dogs.
- Have experience creating content for lifestyle or fashion brands.
- Enjoy experimenting with creative edits and viral storytelling techniques.
