Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a good safety record, and the ability to handle heavy equipment and freight efficiently. Duties

  • Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight over designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
  • Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation for each trip
  • Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and ensuring proper weight distribution
  • Conduct basic vehicle maintenance or coordinate repairs with automotive repair specialists as needed
  • Follow company policies for safety procedures and compliance standards during all operations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to coordinate pickups and deliveries
Skills
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
  • Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems for route planning
  • Physical ability to lift heavy loads, operate heavy machinery, and perform manual tasks as required
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
