Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels to ensure optimal performance
  • Load and unload freight efficiently using forklift or heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
  • Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues to ensure vehicle reliability and safety
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight

Experience

  • Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and other loading machinery
  • Familiarity with automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues
  • Ability to handle freight securely using appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
