Supply Chain Manager — DTC Ecommerce

About the Role

KittySpout is hiring a hands-on senior ecommerce operator to run and improve the operational engine behind a fast-scaling physical-products brand. This is not a pure demand-planning, procurement, analyst, or coordinator role. You will connect the full chain: inventory and forecasting, purchasing and production, international freight, 3PL execution, marketplace inventory, operational reporting, and cross-functional problem solving.

This role reports directly to our Head of Operations, who built and runs the operational infrastructure behind a $50M+ DTC brand. We're hiring someone to work closely with him, learn the business inside and out, and develop into the person who eventually takes over as Head of Operations.

This is a clear path toward becoming the primary operations leader at a fast-scaling ecommerce company targeting $50M+ in annual revenue.

Day to day, you'll own the operational engine: managing inventory and demand-planning workflows, coordinating supply-chain logistics, tracking purchase orders and production, overseeing 3PL and manufacturer relationships, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks as we scale. You will inherit existing tools and playbooks, but the expectation is not simply to maintain them — you'll identify what is unreliable, fragmented, or too manual, and improve it while keeping operations moving.

You'll work closely with the Head of Operations, the founder, and leaders across the company. As you prove yourself, your scope and decision-making authority will expand.

Who We Are

KittySpout is a premium DTC brand selling stainless steel cat water fountains, filters, and accessories. We sell across Shopify, Amazon, and Chewy, and we're one of the fastest-growing brands in the pet space — $22M+ in revenue and targeting $45–50M in 2026. We recently launched DoggySpout, expanding into an entirely new vertical. We're lean, we move fast, and every person on this team has a massive impact.

Culture Fit

We are a fast-moving, data-driven team with no corporate politics. Everyone is hands-on, if something needs doing, you do it regardless of whether it's "in your job description." We value speed, ownership, and people who overdeliver without being asked. This is not a 9–5 corporate role.

If you need rigid processes and someone telling you what to do every day, this is not the right fit.

You'll work closely with the founder, have real ownership and visibility into how the business runs, and play a big role in the brand's growth. We hire people we trust and get out of their way. If you thrive with freedom, accountability, and real impact — you'll love it here.

Our core values: Work Smart. Overdeliver. Speed is King. Better Every Day.

Role Scope

Operations and supply-chain execution - 60% - suppliers, production, freight, inbound logistics, 3PLs, partner accountability, and cross-functional issues

Inventory and demand planning - 30% - forecasting, replenishment, channel allocation, stockout risk, excess inventory, and planning assumptions

Systems and operational intelligence - 10% - reporting, SOPs, automation, root-cause analysis, and decision support

Key Objectives

  • Run the operational engine end-to-end with AI as a force multiplier. Own day-to-day coordination across supply chain, fulfillment, 3PL, and manufacturer relationships. Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, internal dashboards) to 5x your output — this is a baseline expectation, not optional.
  • Own the operational coordination layer. Manage purchase-order tracking, production status, lead-time monitoring, freight and inbound milestones, 3PL follow-ups, invoice reconciliation, and manufacturer accountability. Know what's due, late, at risk, and what action is needed.
  • Surface insights, not just status. Each week, identify anomalies leadership didn't ask you to investigate: margin leakage, billing errors, unusual SKU velocity, excess inventory, forecast drift, or channel imbalances. AI makes the analysis cheap; act on what matters before we ask.
  • Own demand planning through a deliberate ramp. Learn the model and own the data layer: sell-through, weeks of supply, reorder math, subscription demand, channel allocation, and baseline forecasts. Propose forecasts for review; after the ramp, own the process end-to-end.
  • Close the loop on operational escalations. Partner with CS and functional leads on defective products, fulfillment errors, returns, launch readiness, and inventory availability. Fix the immediate issue and address the systemic cause.
  • Act as the operational early-warning system. Identify risks before they become stockouts, missed launches, customer-service spikes, or cash traps. Escalate with facts, impact, options, and a recommendation — not a question without analysis.
