Station Manager – Montego Bay

<p>JACE Management Consultants Limited is recruiting a <strong>Station Manager</strong> for an opportunity in <strong>Ironshore, Montego Bay, St. James</strong>.</p><p><br></p><p>The Station Manager will oversee daily service station operations with a strong focus on <strong>safety, sales growth, customer service, staff performance, inventory control and operational compliance</strong>.</p><p>The successful candidate will supervise contracted station staff, coordinate closely with Head Office and other business partners, maintain service and safety standards, manage stock and cash procedures, support sales performance, and ensure that required operational reports are completed accurately and on time.</p><p><br></p><p>This position requires a confident and organised leader who can motivate a diverse team, maintain high customer service standards, manage competing operational priorities, and ensure that the station consistently meets established safety, service and performance requirements. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee and support the daily operations of the service station</li><li>Receive, maintain and track wet and dry stock inventory daily</li><li>Complete and submit required daily operational reports</li><li>Open and close shifts and conduct daily reconciliations</li><li>Ensure compliance with established cash-management procedures</li><li>Prepare weekly staff rosters</li><li>Supervise, train, motivate and develop station staff</li><li>Conduct staff appraisals and assist with performance evaluations</li><li>Maintain employee training records on-site</li><li>Conduct and document weekly safety meetings</li><li>Coordinate fire safety drills</li><li>Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements</li><li>Ensure staff comply with uniform and identification requirements</li><li>Maintain strong customer service standards and assist with customer complaints</li><li>Support achievement of station sales targets</li><li>Help prevent stock-outs and stock losses</li><li>Monitor competitor activity and submit weekly price surveys</li><li>Make recommendations based on market and competitor activity</li><li>Support promotional activities and ensure effective execution at station level</li><li>Maintain timely submission of operational reports</li><li>Help develop a strong customer-service culture throughout the station</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li><strong>BSc in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent</strong></li><li><strong>3–5 years’ experience in Supervisory Management is desirable</strong></li><li>Strong team-management and people-management skills</li><li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills</li><li>Strong time-management and organisational skills</li><li>Ability to motivate and manage employees with different skills and experience levels</li><li>Knowledge of local labour legislation</li><li>Knowledge of health and safety standards</li><li>Good working knowledge of <strong>Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word</strong></li><li>Strong team-player mentality</li><li>Ability to maintain high standards of customer service, safety and operational compliance</li></ul>
