Specialist Account Executive, Ad Sales

About the role and team

Uber Advertising's vision is to offer the most marketplace-centric advertising to connect our platform users-eaters, riders, and earners-with advertisers. As a Specialist Account Executive (Ads Enterprise), you will lead the Ad Sales strategy for a portfolio of top Enterprise Restaurants, driving the adoption of an expanding suite of ads offerings across our Mobility and Delivery platforms.

Sales at Uber means navigating ambiguity, earning trust fast, and solving problems that don't come with a script. This role is about building long-term partnerships in a fast-changing environment where you must balance the needs of merchant partners with Uber's rapid pace of innovation. If you are a resilient, resourceful storyteller who thrives in the messy reality of doing big things, this is where you'll grow.

What you'll do

  • Build and grow long-term partnerships by understanding what matters most to our customers-not just selling a product.
  • Lead advanced Ads and Offers pitches, including discovery, handling complex objections, and providing strategic budget recommendations.
  • Navigate ambiguity and internal complexity by collaborating closely with Account Managers, Product, and Revenue Operations to unlock value for clients.
  • Manage pipelines with urgency and discipline in Salesforce, ensuring accurate tracking of deals and contracts even when priorities shift.
  • Analyze merchant and platform insights to identify demand generation opportunities and create holistic narratives that quantify the impact of our solutions.
  • Adapt your approach based on market dynamics and imperfect information to resolve blockers and deliver solutions that scale.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 year of work experience
  • Experience in a client-facing, quota-carrying position.
  • Basic understanding of media KPIs and advertising terminology.
  • Experience building and implementing strategic sales plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 + years of full-time experience in digital advertising sales or account management.
  • Experience selling complex digital marketing solutions to Mid-Market or Enterprise brands and their agency partners.
  • Proven ability to utilize data to quantify opportunities and influence C-level marketing executives.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with a track record of creating value in challenging negotiations.
  • Demonstrated resilience and a go-getter mentality in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
