DESCRIPTION: The Ads Marketing Effectiveness & Intelligence (ME&I) engineering team is looking for a motivated and experienced Full-stack Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain multiple highly scalable distributed services for Amazon advertisers.

We are a full stack engineering team with the mission to deliver relevant and personalized content, training, and advertising insights to advertisers worldwide in a scalable and automated fashion. Our products help grow the number of Amazon Ads advertisers as well as the advertisers' understanding and usage of Amazon Ads products. We are part of the Marketing organization within Advertising, one of the fastest-growing and most strategic parts of Amazon. Advertiser success is core to Amazon's growth, as it helps our suppliers drive awareness, consideration, and purchase of their products by hundreds of millions of consumers around the world, and generates revenue which helps us lower prices and invest in improvements to our customer experience. ME&I engineering is building a marketing tech platform that includes the digital storefront for advertising, advertising.amazon.com (A20M), Web Targeting and Personalization, an Automatic Content Recommendation Engine, and the Amazon Ads Academy. As a Software Development Engineer on the team, you will own and influence team software architecture, development, testing, and delivery of complex features for these platforms. You will drive integration with various external applications. You will work closely with product managers to learn the advertising business and develop solutions that make a large impact on our advertisers.

Key job responsibilities As a Software Dev Engineer II, you will:

* Innovate and solve software engineering and infrastructure engineering challenges at a massive scale. * Design and implement several internal services as well as integration strategies for external services. * Partner closely with our security and privacy teams to produce innovative and secure solutions. * Have excellent time management skills along with the ability to deliver results in the face of uncertainty. * Exert technical influence over your team members, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your knowledge and experience. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, builder, and operator. * Balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's degree in computer science or equivalent - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - 1+ years of building large-scale machine-learning infrastructure for online recommendation, ads ranking, personalization or search experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well-being.
