Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented graphic designer for a short-term contract focused on Adobe InDesign publication creation. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in digital and print design, with the ability to produce visually compelling layouts that align with project goals. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to engaging publications through expert use of Adobe Creative Suite and related design tools.

Duties

  • Develop and design layouts for publications using Adobe InDesign, ensuring clarity, visual appeal, and brand consistency
  • Collaborate with clients or team members to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback effectively
  • Integrate graphics, typography, and visual elements to enhance the overall presentation of the publication
  • Utilize Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Creative Suite tools to create or refine images and graphics for publication use
  • Apply principles of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy to produce professional-quality documents
  • Ensure all designs meet project deadlines and adhere to specified style guides and branding standards
  • Assist with creating supplementary digital content such as motion graphics or web assets if needed
Skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Acrobat
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and visual storytelling
  • Experience with UI design, motion graphics, logo creation, and digital design is a plus
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, and InVision for integrated digital projects
  • Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, CorelDRAW for collaborative or alternative design workflows
  • Ability to create engaging marketing materials and presentations with excellent visual design skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and incorporate feedback effectively
  • Experience in graphic design related to branding, marketing campaigns, or publication layouts is highly desirable
