Shopify Merchandising & CRO Specialist

ABOUT FITNESS AVENUE

Fitness Avenue sells high-ticket, spec-driven fitness equipment for both home and commercial use. This role is designed to elevate the digital shopping experience—ensuring customers can effortlessly find products, understand their unique value, and buy with total confidence on our Shopify store.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN (HANDS-ON)

Product Page (PDP) Excellence

  • Champion and maintain a premium PDP standard for our priority SKUs, utilizing optimized templates and essential content sections.
  • Enhance specifications, benefits, compatibility, objection-handling, and shipping/returns/warranty clarity within approved guidelines.
  • Ensure pristine accuracy and presentation, keeping formatting polished, information complete, and variants fully functional.

Collection Merchandising + Navigation

  • Optimize taxonomy, navigation, filters, sorting rules, and featured SKUs aligned with customer intent.
  • Maintain intuitive, highly logical collections (e.g., highlighting best sellers, new arrivals, and prioritizing in-stock inventory).

CRO Execution (Measured & Practical)

  • Manage a weekly CRO backlog, consistently shipping impactful improvements across the PDP, PLP, and cart experiences.
  • Identify high-traffic pages with growth potential and implement measurable enhancements to boost conversion.
  • Propose strategic, simple tests and carefully document the outcomes.

Bundles + Cross-Sells (AOV Lift)

  • Design intuitive “complete the setup” bundles and smart cross-sell logic.
  • Oversee QA logic to ensure all recommendations are perfectly compatible and currently available.

Promo / Launch Strategy + QA

  • Execute onsite promotional initiatives (collections, landing pages, banners, messaging) derived from approved briefs.
  • Utilize a thorough pre-launch QA checklist and monitor performance post-launch to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Collaborative Coordination

  • Write clear, actionable briefs for our creative and content support teams.
  • Scope and create development tickets when custom theme work extends beyond your technical toolkit.
  • Perform final QA and sign-off to ensure excellence before any updates go live.

ROLE FOCUS & CLARITY

To help you understand how this role fits into our ecosystem, please note:

  • Paid Media: This is managed by our Digital Marketing Manager, allowing you to focus entirely on the onsite experience.
  • Pricing Strategy: You will execute pricing within established rules, using data and evidence to flag optimization opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on Shopify experience (Shopify Plus is strongly preferred).
  • Catalog Management: 2+ years in eCommerce merchandising and CRO execution on a multi-SKU catalog (300+ SKUs preferred).
  • Core Skills: Proven experience managing collections, navigation, filters/sorting, PDP standards, and thorough onsite QA.
  • App Integration: Successful end-to-end implementation of at least 3 Shopify apps (installation, configuration, QA, and seamless rollback planning).
  • Analytics: Comfortable utilizing GA4 basics for funnel reviews and data sanity checks.
  • Technical Bonus: Basic knowledge of Liquid, HTML, and CSS for making safe theme edits and communicating effectively with developers.
  • Education: A diploma or degree is preferred; equivalent exceptional professional experience is highly valued.
  • Interests: A passion for fitness is a wonderful plus, though not required!

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

This role is tailor-made for an onsite execution and Shopify merchandising specialist. If your expertise lies in crafting seamless user journeys, optimizing conversion rates, and managing the technical storefront, you will thrive here. (Please note: candidates whose experience is primarily focused on running Meta/Google paid ad campaigns or social media management may find this role's deep onsite focus outside their core strengths).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
