About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Network Administrator to manage and maintain their critical network infrastructure in Oakville . This role is essential for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the company's network systems. You will be responsible for network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization. This is a key position for a dedicated IT professional who excels in network management and is committed to providing a stable and secure network environment for the organization, working within a supportive IT department.

Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability. Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to meet evolving business needs. Provide technical support for network-related issues to end-users and other IT staff. Requirements 5+ years of experience in network administration or a related IT infrastructure role. Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and TCP/IP. Hands-on experience with network hardware from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper). Proficiency in network security concepts and technologies. Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
