Senior IT Auditor - Jamaica

Key Responsibilities: Plan, execute, and document audits of infrastructure, applications, databases, networks, and cloud environments to evaluate general IT controls, access, segregation of duties, and identity management. Evaluate and strengthen cybersecurity controls, vulnerabilities, and continuity/DRP plans to strengthen technological resilience and reduce critical IT risks. Review and provide assurance on technology projects (ERP, POS, e-commerce, migrations, cloud) to validate governance, testing, deliverable quality, and risk mitigation. Prepare technical reports based on evidence, risk quantification, and prioritized recommendations to support corrective decisions. Follow up on and validate technology action plans to ensure effective and sustainable remediation of findings. Provide specialized support to financial and operational audits to strengthen risk assessment and the linkage between technology failures and business impact. Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CEH, ISO 27001, COBIT, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred, but not mandatory. Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years' experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, IT General Controls (ITGC), data analytics preferably within retail, consumer goods, financial services, or audit firms. Technical Knowledge: IT Audit / ITGC. Cybersecurity (NIST / ISO 27001). COBIT. SQL, Power BI, Python, ACL/IDEA. ERP and transactional systems. Networks, servers, cloud, databases. Continuous and specialized auditing. Competencies & Skills: Application of IT audit techniques. Technical analysis and root cause determination. Technology risk assessment. Technical writing. Data analysis. Digital evidence management. Design of audit tests and scripts. Integrity and objectivity. Critical thinking. Clear communication (technical and non-technical). Negotiation with technology teams. Organization and time management. Teamwork and international collaboration. Ability to learn and continuously stay current. Handling pressure and prioritization.
