Responsibilities

  • Lead the iOS architecture — choose frameworks, design patterns, and scalability strategies.
  • Develop and maintain apps using Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and async/await.
  • Implement Apple HealthKit integrations for secure health/fitness data import and processing.
  • Design and integrate StoreKit In-App Purchase flows (subscriptions, consumables, non-consumables) with full validation and analytics tracking.
  • Deploy Core ML or TensorFlow Lite models for on-device AI/ML features such as personalization, prediction, and data analysis.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, architecture guidelines, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to plan and execute feature roadmaps.
  • Integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs with robust error handling and offline-first data strategies.
  • Optimize performance using profiling tools and implement caching strategies for low-latency user experiences.
  • Lead TestFlight testing, App Store submissions, and ensure compliance with Apple's guidelines.
  • Mentor and guide junior/mid-level iOS engineers; conduct code reviews and technical workshops.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years professional experience in iOS development, with 2+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role.
  • Expert in Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and async/await concurrency.
  • Proven track record with Apple HealthKit integrations.
  • Strong expertise with In-App Purchases using StoreKit, including subscription management and server-side receipt validation.
  • Practical experience with Core ML, on-device AI/ML workflows, and data privacy best practices.
  • Mastery of UIKit, Core Data, concurrency management, and offline-first application design.
  • Experience with CI/CD for mobile (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins).
  • Strong Agile/Scrum experience and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentorship skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Objective-C for legacy maintenance.
  • Experience with Firebase, push notifications, deep linking, and analytics (Firebase Analytics, Amplitude).
  • Familiarity with healthcare, wellness, or nutrition mobile apps.
  • Cloud integration knowledge (AWS Amplify, Azure Mobile Apps, or custom APIs).
