<strong>Senior Healthcare QA Analyst - EHR<br></strong><strong>Client:</strong> Service New Brunswick (SNB) – Provincial Health Application Services Branch<br><strong>Location:</strong> Remote within Canada or Onsite in Fredericton, New Brunswick.<br><strong>Duration:</strong> September 21, 2026 – September 20, 2027, with <strong>1 optional 1-year extension<br></strong><strong>Work Schedule:</strong> Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM AST - 7.25-hour workday<br><strong>Work Arrangement:</strong> Remote or onsite in Fredericton, NB<br><strong>Language:</strong> English<br><br><strong>About the Opportunity<br></strong>Service New Brunswick’s Provincial Health Application Services Branch is seeking an experienced <strong>Quality Assurance Analyst 3 (QA3)</strong> to support SNB and Department of Health initiatives. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the <strong>Quality Assurance Team Lead/Manager</strong> and collaborate with project teams to evaluate, validate, and improve the quality of complex healthcare applications and technology solutions.<br>The role involves manual and automated testing, performance testing, quality assurance, defect management, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), database validation, security/privacy considerations, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders. SNB supports a broad portfolio of healthcare applications serving Regional Health Authorities and the Department of Health, including applications requiring 24/7 operational support.<br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br></strong><ul> <li>Complete QA deliverables in accordance with project and maintenance release plans.<br> </li> <li>Build, execute, and maintain <strong>manual and automated test cases</strong> based on project requirements and change requests.<br> </li> <li>Perform functional, performance, connectivity, regression, integration, and automation testing.<br> </li> <li>Assist business users with <strong>User Acceptance Testing (UAT)</strong>, including test case/script execution and defect reporting.<br> </li> <li>Create and maintain performance-testing initiatives while following QA and performance-testing best practices.<br> </li> <li>Validate application quality against defined scope, requirements, and stakeholder expectations.<br> </li> <li>Review project and release requirements and perform <strong>gap analysis</strong>.<br> </li> <li>Work with IT resources throughout the design, development, testing, and implementation of projects and releases.<br> </li> <li>Develop and maintain testing documentation, defect reports, user documentation, and procedures.<br> </li> <li>Identify, document, track, and support resolution of defects throughout testing cycles.<br> </li> <li>Ensure applications comply with applicable <strong>government IT policies, procedures, security standards, data confidentiality, and privacy requirements</strong>.<br> </li> <li>Participate in QA review sessions, project status meetings, working groups, and stakeholder meetings.<br> </li> <li>Communicate regularly with project and team representatives regarding testing progress, risks, issues, and quality concerns.<br> </li> <li>Support knowledge transfer and assist with onboarding/training of new QA resources.<br> </li> <li>Provide testing assistance to other QA team members as required.<br> </li> <li>Stay informed about project direction, scope, and business/technical context.<br> </li> <li>Support completion of end-of-cycle testing and defect reports.<br> </li> <li>Contribute to knowledge transfer at the conclusion of the assignment.<br> <br><br><br></li></ul>Requirements<br><br><strong>Mandatory Qualifications – M1 to M7<br></strong>Candidates <strong>must meet all mandatory requirements</strong> to be considered.<br><strong>M1 – Education<br></strong><ul> <li>University degree in <strong>Computer Science, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or a similar discipline</strong> is preferred.<br> </li> <li>An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.<br> </li> <li>Candidates should be prepared to provide their education level, institution, and education dates.<br> </li></ul><strong>M2 – Testing Experience<br></strong><ul> <li>Minimum <strong>10 years of demonstrated testing experience</strong> covering:<br> </li> <ul> <li>Functional testing<br> </li> <li>Performance testing<br> </li> <li>Connectivity testing<br> </li> <li>Regression testing<br> </li> <li>Integration testing<br> </li> <li>Automation testing<br> </li> </ul></ul><strong>M3 – Quality Assurance & Testing Methodologies<br></strong><ul> <li>Minimum <strong>10 years of demonstrated experience</strong> with:<br> </li> <ul> <li>Quality assurance best practices<br> </li> <li>System testing best practices<br> </li> <li>QA methodologies<br> </li> <li>System testing methodologies<br> </li> </ul></ul><strong>M4 – Security, Data Confidentiality & Privacy<br></strong><ul> <li>Minimum <strong>8 years of demonstrated experience</strong> in security relating to:<br> </li> <ul> <li>Data confidentiality<br> </li> <li>Client privacy<br> </li> <li>Databases<br> </li> <li>Application design and development<br> </li> </ul></ul><strong>M5 – Communication<br></strong><ul> <li>Excellent <strong>written and oral English communication skills</strong>.<br> </li></ul><strong>M6 – Availability & Work Location<br></strong><ul> <li>Must be available to <strong>start within two weeks from the date specified in the SOW</strong>.<br> </li> <li>Candidate must declare the <strong>remote work location, including city and province</strong>, from which they will perform the assignment.<br> </li></ul><strong>M7 – Submission Requirement<br></strong><ul> <li><strong>One candidate submission per vendor</strong> is permitted for this requisition. SNB may truncate the engagement if required and may extend the engagement monetarily by 25% if deemed necessary.<br>The successful candidate may work remotely or choose to work onsite in <strong>Fredericton, NB</strong>, where SNB will provide office space and resources. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM AST.
