<h1>Senior Fuel Engineering Analyst</h1><p><strong>Location:</strong> CA.ON.Mississauga.2251 Speakman Drive</p><p><strong>Time Type:</strong> Full time</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p></p><h3><b>Job Description</b></h3><p></p><p></p><p>Candu Energy Inc. is looking for a Senior Fuel Engineering Analyst to be a part of our team in the Fuel and Physics department supporting the design of new nuclear power plants and the operation and refurbishment of existing CANDU nuclear power plants.</p><p></p><p><b>Your role:</b></p><ul><li><p>Perform, document, review, and/or verify technical analyses related to fuel design, fuel thermal-hydraulics, fuel operation and safety, ROP, and fuel cycles.</p></li><li><p>Interface with other related skills including deterministic safety analysis and physics.</p></li><li><p>Assist in the development of analysis basis plans, Design verification plan; design requirements, technical specifications, etc.</p></li><li><p>Develop design and analysis codes.</p></li><li><p>Produce high-quality reports effectively summarizing technical information.</p></li><li><p>Present results to internal and/or external stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Collate, assimilate, and summarize results from existing analyses.</p></li><li><p>Follow the relevant procedures, guidelines and standards governing the work being performed.</p></li><li><p>Attend and participate in meetings at the office, remotely, or at client sites as needed.</p></li><li><p>Continually improve skills through instructor-led courses and/or on-the-job training.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>About you:</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Master’s degree or equivalent or higher from a university of recognized standing</span></p></li><li><p><span>A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience or combination of experience and advanced education</span></p></li><li><p>Knowledge of thermal-fluid sciences (mechanical, fluid flow, heat transfers, multi-phase flow and thermodynamics);</p></li><li><p>Advanced knowledge of the CANDU design, with particular emphasis on the fuel design and operation, heat transport system and plant control, containment and moderator systems.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in computer programming, especially python or Fortran.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge in developing finite element models and performing stress analysis</p></li><li><p>Excellent oral and written communication skills are required;</p></li><li><p>Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible, i.e., must be able to perform varied work assignments effectively and respond quickly to changing project needs;</p></li><li><p>Must be willing to travel occasionally to participate in meetings and workshops;</p></li><li><p>Full commitment to working in a formal QA environment.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Reward & benefits</b></p><p>Explore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive – at every stage of your life and your career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada.
