Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Senior Director, Operational Resilience COE (Centre of Excellence) for Personal Banking and Commercial Banking is a strategic first-line operational risk leader responsible for establishing governance, controls, and risk management frameworks across critical operational risk domains. This role leads a dedicated team accountable for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and remediating operational risks within business continuity management, incident management, scenario testing, third-party risk, and IT/cyber risk across both business segments. The Senior Director drives the design and execution of the Enterprise Operational Resilience standard, embedding proactive risk identification and control effectiveness into day-to-day operations while establishing clear accountability for operational risk ownership.Please note this is an in-office role with a minimum of 4 days in office per week.What will you do?Direct the strategy, planning, development, and execution for multiple operational risk programsManage specialized teams across multiple operational areas and lead cross-functional initiativesMake decisions related to the development and implementation of strategic matters and business outcomesOversee the execution and facilitation of the scenario testing of critical operationsMonitor and report on resiliency metrics and progress against enterprise standardsEnsure timely escalation of resiliency gaps and emerging risks to senior managementPartner with lines of business to develop, validate, and maintain comprehensive Business Impact Analyses (BIAs)Oversee the development, documentation, and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs)Lead the supplier management team in managing and monitoring several suppliers in engagements of behalf of the businessDirect the Supplier Management Office (SMO) for Personal Banking and Commercial Banking ensuring lines of business are compliant with the Enterprise third party risk policies and standardsOversee supplier engagement, onboarding, monitoring, and offboarding processes on behalf of the relevant business linesLead the first-line IT Cyber Risk team providing governance and oversight of cyber and IT risksOversee the operational risk event (ORE) program across Personal Banking and Commercial BankingLead strategic talent planning and development in conjunction with Human ResourcesUtilize data to drive insights into risks and control deficiencies and assist the lines of business and channels in the development of proactive mitigation strategiesWhat will you need to succeed?
