Maintenance & Engineering (RME) are the business partners that work tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen. We drive continuous improvement, and maintain all of the Robotics and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to ensure our customers are met with the Amazon smile.
As the RME Planner, you will develop maintenance plans and schedules using recurring preventive maintenance activities, predictive maintenance data, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Your work will include screening APM (Asset Performance Management) work orders, auditing equipment to document work requirements and quality, and estimating labor hours, materials, tools, and equipment for all assigned work orders to support a proactive, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) program. You will collaborate directly with maintenance management, service technicians, and vendors to plan, coordinate, and schedule proactive maintenance activities during available downtime windows.
You will also ensure that spare parts are ordered and maintained in stock for both planned and emergency repairs.
Key Responsibilities Screen work orders and analyze scope requirements to schedule maintenance activities based on available resources, work criticality, and maintenance windows
Perform equipment audits to document job requirements, order spare parts for facility and material handling equipment, and coordinate with vendors for repairs
Plan reliability improvement projects and collect engineering drawings and technical specifications to maximize system efficiency and performance
Drive proactive maintenance programs that achieve 85% planned work targets while ensuring all activities derive from APM and close accurately in Amazon's maintenance virtuous cycle
Must be able to move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
Basic Qualifications High school or equivalent diploma
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
1+ years of using a computer maintenance management system in planning, scheduling and auditing overall facilities/maintenance activities experience
Travel up to 15% of the time
Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler working within an industrial maintenance complex, manufacturing/distribution industries, or equivalent experience
4+ years of working with enterprise asset management software suite experience
Experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation and maintenance
