We’re building a modern Broker Experience Ecosystem for Commercial Lines.<br><br>We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who will be a key technical voice shaping the direction, development, and delivery of a large-scale, production-critical web application.<br><br>We give developers access to the latest hardware (Macbook Pros) and software (IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Windsurf etc). You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, performant, and accessible user experiences on our Broker platform at scale, while partnering with UX and Product leadership to define and execute initiatives spanning design systems, application performance, and frontend architecture.<br><br>You care deeply about UI quality and craftsmanship, holding a high bar for usability, performance, and visual polish, and bring strong opinions on what makes a great user experience.<br><br><strong>This will be a hybrid role (2 days in office per week) with the primary location being in downtown Toronto.<br><br></strong><strong>Our Stack<br><br></strong>Our Broker platform runs on a Java backend with an Angular (v21) frontend, built with TypeScript, Angular Material Design, and Tailwind CSS, secured via OAuth2. We invest heavily in engineering excellence, with a robust CI/CD pipeline and automated testing framework supporting everything we ship.<br><br><strong>What You'll Do Here<br><br></strong><ul><li>Architect, build, and evolve scalable, user-centric frontend systems and interfaces that power growth initiatives across the platform.</li><li>Define and champion frontend standards — driving consistency through reusable components, shared patterns, and a cohesive design system.</li><li>Own complex frontend projects end-to-end: from technical design and implementation through deployment, iteration, and long-term reliability.</li><li>Enable rapid experimentation and data-driven iteration through robust frontend frameworks and feature delivery infrastructure.</li><li>Partner cross-functionally with Product, UX, and Engineering to translate business and customer needs into high-quality user experiences.</li><li>Uphold and actively raise the bar on performance, accessibility, reliability, and security across all frontend work.</li><li>Contribute to a strong engineering culture in our Toronto office — through mentorship, code reviews, and leading by example.</li><li>AI DLC - Leverage best-in-class AI tools such as Devin and Cursor to enhance productivity.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Bring To The Table<br><br></strong><ul><li>Deep expertise in Angular and TypeScript, including frontend architectural decision-making at scale.</li><li>Experience in writing unit tests and working with Jest and version control.</li><li>A track record of delivering large-scale, production-critical frontend systems - and the scars to prove it.</li><li>Experience driving cross-team or org-level initiatives such as design systems, platform modernization, or performance improvement programs.</li><li>Strong command of frontend architecture principles, performance tradeoffs, and scalability challenges.</li><li>Proven ability to integrate complex systems via REST APIs and reason clearly about data flow across the stack.</li><li>Exceptional debugging skills spanning browser tooling, performance profiling, and production environments.</li><li>Demonstrated ownership of codebase health, system reliability, and engineering standards over time.</li><li>The ability to operate independently, cut through ambiguity, and bring structure to open-ended problems.</li><li>Solid grasp of web performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design best practices.</li><li>Fluency in modern engineering practices: code reviews, CI/CD, and instrumentation for analytics and experimentation.</li><li>Strong communication skills with a track record of influencing technical decisions across teams and functions.</li><li>Exposure to other modern frameworks (React, Vue) is a plus.</li><li>No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.<br><br></li></ul>Il s'agit d'un nouveau rôle au sein de notre équipe en pleine croissance | This role is a new member of our growing team.<br><br><em><strong>Égalité d’accès à l’emploi<br><br></strong></em><em>Le respect est une des valeurs d’Intact.
