Senior Account Executive | Canada Ministry of National Defence

Description:

  • Drive sales strategy for the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces with tailored solutions for operational and cybersecurity needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with defence and government leaders to identify mission-support opportunities.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders and Canadian system integrators to design and implement Elastic solutions for joint and multi-domain operations.
  • Partner with internal teams to prepare proposals and ensure alignment with Canadian federal procurement requirements, including PSPC and DISO frameworks.
  • Track evolving DND mission priorities, defence funding trends, and related technological developments, including the Defence Policy Update.
  • Represent Elastic at Canadian defence industry events, briefings, and conferences to showcase capabilities and build partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of DND and CAF missions, command structures, and operational requirements.
  • Proven success in defence sales, business development, or program management within the Canadian public sector.
  • Familiarity with Security Operations Centers (SOCs), AI/ML, data analytics, and cybersecurity frameworks including ITSG-33 and Protected B/C standards.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into mission value.
  • Experience navigating Canadian federal procurement processes and contracting vehicles such as TBIPS, ProServices, and SOSA.
  • Canadian Secret or Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Military experience or prior collaboration with DND/CAF or Canadian defence agencies such as CSE or CANSOFCOM is preferred.
  • Expertise in operational planning, cybersecurity, or data analytics within Canadian defence environments is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset.
