Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer (Remote Contract)

Title: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer

Location: Must be in Canada. 100% remote.

Job type: 6 month contract with possibility of extension for another 6 months. 40hrs/week.

Rate: $60hr CAD + HST

Day-to-day:

  • Develop and implement SMS and email automation solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Design and execute complex marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and retention
  • Work closely with the product team to understand business requirements, translating them into technical solutions
  • Ensure that SFMC meet brand guidelines and comply with CASL, CANSPAM and other data and privacy regulations
  • Accountable for ensuring marketing requirements are delivered in partnership with Product and Technology. One of the key stakeholders in developing and maintaining
  • cross department collaboration
  • Implements established best practices and identifies opportunities and new strategies/tactics to improve programs. Supports program testing and optimization efforts, product releases, integrations with other platforms and support from a technical perspective.
  • Tracks and analyzes all programs against business goals and objectives. Evaluates performance, and leads improvements and pivots when needed

What you bring to the table:

5+ years of experience in SFMC, specifically:

  • Configure and set up data models (data extensions, shared data extensions, Contact model).
  • Translating business needs automated processes/journeys using different activities in Automation Studio and Journey Builder.
  • Write advanced SQL, including join statements.
  • Create dynamic, personalized marketing assets using various scripting languages.
  • Build Marketing Cloud web experience (data forms, custom preference pages).
  • Explain subscription management.
  • Work through and resolve scenarios using REST and SOAP API
  • Understanding (experience preferred) of Email / ISP Domain Health Management
  • Exceptional communication skills and extensive technical SFMC and data experience
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, AMPscript, SQL, SSJS proficiency required, WXProxy nice to have
  • Comfort working within multiple marketing tech stacks, cross department collaboration and highly technical teams
  • SFMC Developer Certification is a must, SFMC Consultant nice to have
  • Understanding of MC Connect and data exchange between SFMC and SF required
  • Experience with Sales Cloud is a must, CDP nice to have
  • Experience with SF Support
