RTC Youth Caregiver - Weekends and night shifts

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals in our care. In this role, you will provide essential support, guidance, and supervision to youth facing various challenges, including behavioral issues. We provide trust-based trauma-informed care focusing on safety, well-being, and healing.

This is a 24 hour, 7 days per week residential treatment center with day and night shifts. We are currently seeking weekend and night shifts.

You must be 21 years of age or older; complete a Criminal Background and Central Registry Check; FBI digital fingerprint check; complete TB test; pre-employment drug screening; CPR and CPI (a form of behavior intervention). In addition, pre-service training to align with DFPS guidelines and compliance.

Prior experience working with youth in a Residential Treatment Center (RTC) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support with supervision, activities of daily living, and meal preparation to promote independence and hygiene.
  • Facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills while ensuring safety at all times.
  • Actively supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities and keep LCCA and Team leader informed of all observations made.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning common areas and personal spaces.
  • Medication administration and basic first aid knowledge.
  • Ensure continuity of care for children by sharing with incoming staff information about each child’s activities during the previous shift and any verbal or written information or instructions given by other professionals.
  • Drive residents when needed for appointments or outings.
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks required in caregiving roles.
  • Maintain all required trainings. Complying with the agency, program, policy procedure manual and licensing standards.
  • Frequent bed checks.
  • Remain alert and awake while on shift.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
