Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer/Shingler to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. Your expertise will help ensure our projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties

  • Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and blueprint specifications
  • Install shingles, tiles, metal panels, or other roofing materials according to project plans
  • Perform repairs on damaged roofs by replacing shingles, flashing, or other components
  • Use caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and weather resistance
  • Lift heavy materials such as bundles of shingles or metal sheets safely and efficiently
  • Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine roofing layouts and specifications
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met and identify areas for improvement
Skills
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, trowels, and caulking guns
  • Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades
  • Strong carpentry skills for framing and structural support work
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
  • Experience with caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications
  • Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights
  • Handyman experience is a plus for troubleshooting various issues on-site
