[Remote] Transit Management Analyst Series (Track)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Transit Management Analyst Series to support the Division of Track. The role involves assisting with project planning, budget management, operational analysis, and administrative coordination while serving as a liaison among various Track subdivisions.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of Division of Track projects and initiativesSupport budget preparation, expenditure tracking, forecasting, and cost analysis activitiesAnalyze operational performance, service reliability, and departmental processes to identify improvement opportunitiesPerform administrative and analytical duties that support the strategic goals and operational needs of the maintenance of Way Track divisionManage and maintain computerized tracking systems and databases used for reporting and performance monitoringSkillsA master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, orA baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administrationA master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of full‐time satisfactory professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration; orA baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and three years of satisfactory full-time experience as described in '1' aboveAbility to make recommendations for action plans or streamlining to improve business performanceExcellent written communication skills, including the ability to draft reports, correspondence, and presentations for managementAbility to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiencesAdvance proficiency in Microsoft Access and Power BIAdvance proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical and data reporting capabilitiesStrong organizational and project coordination skillsAbility to function independently with limited work directionCompany OverviewThe Metropolitan Transportation Authority is North America's largest transportation network, serving a population of 15.3 million people in the 5,000-square-mile area fanning out from New York City through Long Island, southeastern New York State, and Connecticut.
