Remote : Senior Accountant (35 hours / week)

Brandon Clark with Connexa Search Group is working with a growing, multi-entity company to find a part-time, fully remote Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager. This is a permanent, direct-hire role to become a W2 employee of the company. This is not a contract or temporary position. THE OPPORTUNITY This is a fully remote, opportunity to own the accounting for one focused business unit within a larger company. Some weeks will be 40 hours, some weeks will be 25-30 hours. You will live in QuickBooks day to day as the primary accounting resource for that entity, reporting to the Controller, with a structured handoff so you step in with context, not a mystery. THE SCHEDULE • Hours vary depending on where the business is in the month • During month end close, expect hours to run close to 40 for that week • The last two weeks of the month are typically lighter, closer to 25-30 hours, depending on what is going on in the business • On the slower weeks the work will be lighter but availability for calls is needed Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 • During the first 2 weeks of the month the schedule is 8-5 Mon-Friday WHAT YOU WILL DO • Own day-to-day, full-cycle accounting including journal entries, accruals, and GL maintenance • Work in QuickBooks all day, every day, this is the core system for the role • Run month-end and year-end close for the entity, delivering accurate and timely results • Prepare and review GL reconciliations and resolve discrepancies • Review payroll-related transactions for accuracy and proper recording • Support corporate accounting with reporting, analysis, and consolidation • Be available for phone calls and emails Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 WHAT YOU BRING • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA is a plus • 5+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience • QuickBooks experience preferred, this role works in QuickBooks all day every day • Microsoft Great Plains experience is a nice to have • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment and stay accessible Monday through Friday BENEFITS Team members who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits We are recruiting for several other career opportunities and always appreciate great referrals.
