Position Overview

arenaflex is urgently seeking a highly motivated Online Data Entry Clerk / Online Chat Assistant who can blend meticulous data‑entry skills with advanced analytics capabilities. This hybrid role is 100 % remote, open to candidates located in the United States, and offers a unique opportunity to influence business strategy through data storytelling, pipeline automation, and real‑time customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Acquisition & Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest information from multiple source systems into the arenaflex Data Warehouse.
  • Power BI Dashboard Creation: Translate complex datasets into clear, interactive visualizations using Power BI, ensuring stakeholders can make data‑driven decisions quickly.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Establish and enforce rigorous data quality standards, maintain the data dictionary, and participate in the Data Governance program to guarantee data integrity.
  • SQL & M‑Code Engineering: Write advanced SQL queries and M‑Code scripts to transform, cleanse, and aggregate data for reporting and analytical purposes.
  • ETL Tool Management: Leverage SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or other big‑data ingestion tools to automate routine data‑processing tasks.
  • Collaboration with Business Analysts & IT: Work closely with analysts, product owners, and IT engineers to capture business requirements, validate metrics, and secure sign‑offs for deliverables.
  • Chat Support & Customer Interaction: Provide real‑time assistance via online chat platforms, resolve user inquiries, and gather feedback that informs product enhancements.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Produce comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, and reporting processes; generate regular status reports for senior leadership.
  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Identify data anomalies, troubleshoot pipeline failures, and propose automation opportunities to reduce manual effort.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience performing detailed data analysis in a business environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Power BI, including building dashboards, using DAX, creating calculated columns, measures, filters, and implementing conditional formatting.
  • Strong command of SQL (T‑SQL preferred) and ability to write complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Proficiency in M‑Code (Power Query) for data shaping and transformation.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Power BI Dataflows, or comparable big‑data ingestion platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, especially star‑schema design.
  • Familiarity with data‑quality frameworks and the ability to validate data against business rules.
  • Excellent written communication skills for chat support and documentation.
  • Self‑starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
