Right now, we are looking for a **Registered Nurse** to work in our **Acute Medicine Unit, 12 West**. This is a \*\*Full - Time** position reporting to the Manager of 12 East & West. The hourly rate ranges from **$41.15 to $58.98\*\*, and the role is part of the ONA union group. Hours are rotating shifts of 12 hours, covering days, evenings, nights, and weekends. The location is Humber River Health, Wilson site. Responsibilities include providing nursing care to general medicine and geriatric inpatients, planning and coordinating care with various team members, using computerized systems for patient documentation, participating in project teams or hospital committees as needed, taking on resource or team leader duties, and mentoring new hires and pre-graduate nursing students. Qualifications include current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, current BCLS certification, and preferably 2 years of recent medical or surgical experience. We look for critical thinking and prioritization skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to work with a multidisciplinary team, patients, families, and visitors, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated patient assessment skills (Advance Physical Assessment). An excellent attendance and discipline-free record is required.
