Registered Dietitian – Sustainable Weight Loss (Remote, Part-Time Contract)

About Us:

Diet Redefined is a growing virtual dietitian private practice dedicated to helping busy professionals achieve sustainable weight loss - without restricting food or their lifestyle.

We believe lasting change comes from practical nutrition, behaviour change, accountability, and building healthy habits that clients can maintain for life.

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Dietitian who is passionate about helping clients create lasting lifestyle changes while building meaningful, long-term relationships.

Why Join Diet Redefined?

Focus on what you do best - supporting clients.

We take care of marketing, client acquisition, and the systems behind the scenes so you can spend more time providing exceptional nutrition care.

Clients typically work with us for 3-6+ months, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and see lasting transformation, rather than providing one-off consultations.

We Offer:

  • Fully remote, flexible contractor position
  • Work with highly motivated clients who are committed to making lifestyle changes
  • Established systems, processes, and resources so you can focus on delivering exceptional client care
  • Training, mentorship, and ongoing support
  • Supportive team environment with opportunities for ongoing professional growth
  • Competitive contractor compensation with bonus opportunities for client retention, referrals, leading group sessions, and other contributions
  • Initial caseload of ~2–10 hours per week, with the ideal candidate having capacity to grow to ~10-20 hours per week over time as new clients enroll

About You: You genuinely enjoy working one-on-one with clients and believe sustainable weight loss is more than simply handing someone a meal plan.

You love helping people build healthier habits, navigate real-life challenges, and celebrate wins along the way.

You are:

  • Registered Dietitian registered in BC, or registered in another Canadian province and willing to obtain BC registration
  • Passionate about sustainable weight management and behaviour change
  • Interested in building long-term client relationships
  • Organized, dependable, and an excellent communicator
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a supportive team
  • We’re looking for a long-term team member who enjoys building meaningful client relationships and wants the flexibility of private practice without having to run every aspect of a business.

Responsibilities: You’ll work with motivated clients enrolled in our long-term sustainable weight loss programs.

Responsibilities include

  • Conduct virtual nutrition counselling sessions with clients every two weeks
  • Develop individualized nutrition care plans and realistic action steps
  • Create customized meal plans using That Clean Life
  • Review food diaries and provide constructive feedback
  • Support clients with meal planning, travel, dining out, busy schedules, emotional eating, portion control, and behaviour change
  • Document and maintain accurate client records
  • Send personalized email summaries outlining key recommendations, action steps, and next steps
  • Monitor client progress and adjust recommendations as needed
  • Provide accountability and support between appointments through email or text
  • Provide support and encouragement in our private client WhatsApp community
  • Collaborate with the Diet Redefined team to continually improve the client experience

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Registered Dietitian in good standing with a Canadian provincial regulatory body
  • Current registration in British Columbia, or willingness and eligibility to obtain BC registration

  • Professional liability insurance
  • Strong interpersonal, counselling, and communication skills
  • Reliable, organized, and able to complete documentation and client follow-up in a timely manner

  • Fluent in English

Preferred:
  • Availability for some weekday evening appointments; weekend availability is an asset
  • Experience supporting clients with sustainable weight loss and behaviour change
  • Additional expertise in a complementary area such as gut health, sports nutrition, women’s health, menopause, PCOS, fertility, or diabetes
  • Experience with That Clean Life and/or Cronometer
  • Interest in building a long-term role within a growing private practice
We’re also happy to mentor the right candidate who is passionate about sustainable weight loss and eager to grow.
