Recent Graduate — Sales / Fintech / Financial Services / Business Development Bloomberg No. 1 Ranked Firm

Our client, one of the world's leading financial services firms, is looking for driven, entrepreneurial business development individuals to join the team and help lead the next phase of growth in Canada. Founded in 2009, the firm is one of the fastest-growing FinTechs in the world — today operating in nearly 70 cities globally with a 2,000+ strong team, and backed by over $1 billion CAD in institutional investment financing, leaving it exceptionally well funded and supported for the next stage of growth. They help ambitious businesses access institutional trade finance and move money across borders, and they're scaling up the Toronto desk as part of that push. If you're competitive, coachable, and want a career where what you earn is genuinely down to you, keep reading.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You'll be building your own pipeline of business, from the very first cold call through to closing the deal, learning the ropes alongside a team that's done it before you. In practice, that means:

GENERATE LEADS

Get on the phone. Build out your own list of prospects by industry and institutional trade finance need, using the firm's data-driven sourcing and sales intelligence to work smarter, not just harder. Get out to the odd exhibition or networking event too — you never know who you'll meet.

CREATE THE VALUE PROPOSITION

Do your homework on the client and the sector, figure out what they actually need, and pitch the firm's B2B institutional trade finance, hedging and payments solutions in a way that lands. Bring a senior colleague in to help close the bigger ones. Stay sharp on the markets so clients see you as someone worth listening to.

WIN BUSINESS

Work closely with the account management team so new clients get up and running fast. Do well here and you'll move up — into a sector specialism, a head of desk role, or account management — purely based on what you deliver. No politics, just performance.

HOW YOU'RE MEASURED

Simple: new business generated, activity, and the quality of what you bring in. The revenue you drive is what determines how you're doing — and what you take home.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Fluent English speaker

Great communicator, comfortable picking up the phone

Some commercial experience — a part-time job, an internship, anything that shows you can hold your own

A real interest in finance, economics, or how markets work

Curious and sharp — you like figuring things out

Ambitious, with the commercial instinct to back it up

Degree level education

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

Competitive base salary plus an uncapped, performance-based commission from day one — what you earn is up to you

Genuine investment in your development — real training, not a box-ticking induction

A broad, industry-leading product suite to get your teeth into and build real expertise around

A brand and reputation in the market that opens doors for you rather than one you have to explain — client retention and satisfaction that speak for themselves

A firm that's grown every single year, not a project that might not be around in 18 months

Genuine meritocracy — plenty of the most senior people in the business started out exactly where you're starting

A collaborative team that has your back and teaches you in real time — real independence to run your own desk, paired with direct feedback so you're never left guessing where you stand

A AAA-rated corporate office right in the heart of the downtown core

Industry-leading 25 days vacation

A genuinely collaborative, down-to-earth culture — people actually like working here

Full health benefits package
