Professional Glass Installer (Glazier) – Commercial & Residential

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Professional Glass Installer to join our team, specializing in both commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation, along with a strong background in construction-related skills. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The position requires a reliable individual capable of interpreting schematics and working safely in various environments.

Duties

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass or mirrors to specific sizes and shapes.
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass panels into commercial storefronts, curtain walls, windows, and residential fixtures.
  • Securely install architectural glass, shower enclosures, custom mirror work and railings.
  • Safely handle, transport, and lift heavy glass panels using specialized equipment or suction cups.
  • Repair or replace damaged glass, sealant, and hardware in existing residential and commercial structures.
  • Drive company vehicles to various job sites across the region safely and professionally.
  • Assist with restoration projects involving glass repair or replacement
  • Ensure all installations meet safety standards and building codes
  • Maintain a clean work environment and organize tools for efficiency

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Glazier or Glass Installer (minimum 5 years preferred).
  • Skills: Strong measuring skills, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, stand for long periods, and work at heights if necessary.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work extra hours and weekends when project timelines demand it.
  • Language: English is a strict requirement. Candidates must possess strong English language skills in Speaking, Reading, and Writing to safely interpret blueprints, complete paperwork, and communicate with clients and team members
  • License & Record: Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean, clear driving record (Driver’s Abstract required upon hire)
  • Certification: Trade Certification (Certificate of Qualification) or Red Seal Endorsement is an asset

Pay: $36.92-$38.00 per hour
