Prep & Packager (Day Shift 6:30am to 3:00pm)

Tayco is an office furniture manufacturer focused on providing the ultimate customer experience and we are looking for a full time and ambitious Prep & Packer to join our dynamic team and help us reach a new vision. THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Prep & Packer is responsible for collecting painted manufactured parts, and packaging them in accordance with the picking list and Manufacturing Orders. They are also responsible for assembling parts, packaging, making skids, and wrapping products in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). They are required to ensure all manufactured components meet quality and production targets while complying with all company health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferably has previous work experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Is able to achieve results and drive efficiencies in their day-to-day work.
  • Is able to work independently or as a part of a team.
  • Is able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices. Is knowledgeable of, and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupation Health and Safety Act (OSHA).
  • Is able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them and to move, bend, twist or maintaining awkward body positions while performing work.
  • Has good hand and eye co-ordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and to see closely and/or listen intently in order to achieve very detailed results and/or detect flaws or errors.
