Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Prep & Line Cook to join our team at Pinky Swear. This position is a blend of food prep and line cooking,. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and upholding food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Prep & Cooking: Prepare and execute our menu items with precision and consistency.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen is organized, sanitized, and safe.
  • Food Safety: Follow food safety standards to guarantee food handling and storage are always compliant.
  • Inventory Assistance: Assist in tracking and managing kitchen inventory as needed.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work independently but also collaborate closely with the restaurant owners and fellow team members to ensure a smooth operation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience working in a professional kitchen is a must.
  • Skills: A strong knowledge of food safety, intermediate cooking techniques, and effective time management.
  • Certifications: A valid food handling certification is required. Culinary school training is a plus, but not essential.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, managing time and tasks effectively.
  • Attitude: A positive, proactive attitude is crucial. We’re building a tight-knit community, so a collaborative spirit is key.
  • Flexibility: We’re a small team, and occasional shift changes may be necessary for optimal team performance.

Job Requirements:

  • References & Background Checks: References and background checks will be required for all candidates.
  • Uniform/Appearance: Apron, non-slip shoes, and proper head coverings are required for safety and hygiene.

Training & Onboarding: We’re looking for candidates who can start right away with minimal guidance, but who are also eager to grow with us and become a key part of our small, tight-knit team. On-the-job training will be provided to ensure you’re fully integrated into our operations.
