Plant Manager - 2nd Class TSSA Operating Engineer
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Lead all plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting quality, food safety, and customer requirements.</li><li>Oversee production, maintenance, engineering, utilities, warehouse, and sanitation functions.</li><li>Ensure the safe operation of boilers, pressure vessels, refrigeration, and utility systems in compliance with TSSA regulations.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize operational performance.</li><li>Maintain compliance with food safety standards, environmental regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements.</li><li>Develop and manage plant budgets, capital projects, and maintenance programs.</li><li>Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and plant personnel while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.</li><li>Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve operational objectives.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Skills and Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Valid <strong>2nd Class TSSA Operating Engineer Certificate</strong>.</li><li>Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within the food and beverage industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of boiler operations, steam systems, refrigeration, utilities, and preventive maintenance programs.</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading food safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF, TSSA regulations, and Ontario health and safety legislation.</li><li>Proven leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>Engineering degree, technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience is considered an asset.</li></ul><p></p>
