As part of the Planning department, the Planner is responsible for work planning, work scheduling and outage management to ensure effective coordination of resources and materials; this includes work related to weekly maintenance schedules, projects, or major planned and unplanned outages.
Key functions include:
- Assess required work and prepare job plans including hazard assessments; required tooling, equipment, parts, materials, and resources; and all relevant technical specifications, procedures, environmental policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and plan work orders by developing forward-looking work plans with appropriate attachments, work history, and equipment-status monitoring. This includes creating, managing, and coordinating maintenance plans for both running work and outage work across all Hydro generating stations.
- Develop weekly schedules using corrective and planned maintenance work orders for all Hydro generating stations and facilitate and manage Hydro unit outages by preparing detailed logistical outage schedules.
- Industrial Mechanic/Millwright CQ
- Experience in an industrial environment post-certification
- Basic Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as SAP, is an asset
