In addition to being a user-friendly, secure, and versatile database, what makes EmpowerDB stand out is the highly personalized and comprehensive support each customer is provided.</p> <p>EmpowerDB is hiring two web developers: one mid-level developer and one entry-level (or even "apprentice") developer. Our system runs on PHP (no framework), MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.</p> <p> <strong>Mid-Level Developer – Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Add custom functionality to meet unique customer requests. This work frequently involves designing clever solutions that fit within the system’s current allowances.</p> </li> <li> <p>Migrate data between sources using SQL queries or PHP scripts for smaller jobs. Larger migration projects are handled through our custom-built tool. </p> </li> <li> <p>Debug and resolve system errors</p> </li> <li> <p>Build reporting pages in PHP or with our proprietary reporting platform</p> </li> <li> <p>Be kind to the entry-level developer</p> </li> </ul> <p> <strong>Entry-Level / Apprentice Developer – Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide support to ongoing customers, either directly or by triaging requests to the right team member</p> </li> <li> <p>Gain exposure to the system’s codebase through daily customer support interactions</p> </li> <li> <p>Gradually grow into writing code for the platform</p> </li> </ul> <p> <strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Mid-level: Prior web development experience with PHP/MySQL/HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery. This role requires working within an established system and codebase. We value developers who can adapt and build solutions within our framework.</p> </li> <li> <p>Entry-level/Apprentice: No past web development experience required, but must demonstrate strong comfort with technology, a proven ability to excel in a complementary skill area, and excellent communication skills</p> </li> </ul> <p> <strong>Compensation</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Mid-Level Developer: $100,000 USD per year</p> </li> <li> <p>Entry-Level / Apprentice Developer: $50,000 USD per year</p> </li> <li> <p>Final salary offer may be lower depending on your location, experience, and market conditions.</p> </li> <li>Compensation is offered as full-time independent contracting (no benefits).</li> </ul> <p> <strong>Role Details</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Fully remote</p> </li> <li> <p>Can live anywhere in the world, but must work 9am – 5pm in any U.
