PhD Student Resource Transformation Component
About the role
As a doctoral researcher at Volkswagen Group, you will conduct independent research on how communication shapes transformation processes within automotive organizations. You will develop research questions, analyze strategies and narratives, and create new scientific and practical perspectives on organizational change. This position balances theoretical study with practical problem solving, allowing you to collaborate with academic supervisors and industry experts to advance knowledge in your field.
What you'll do
- Develop communication strategies and concepts focused on the transformation path.
- Create, implement, and maintain internal communication channels.
- Produce and integrate editorial content including text, photos, and videos.
- Plan and support the execution of events and workshops.
- Publish your research findings and present at academic conferences.
- Participate in the doctoral network for exchange with other candidates and science representatives.
What you'll need
- A completed university degree (good to very good) in media and communication studies, journalism, economics, or a comparable field.
- Confirmation of supervision and a defined research topic from a professor at a university or research institution entitled to confer a doctorate.
- German language proficiency at a C1 level.
- An affinity for digital and social media.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A high degree of independence and initiative.
- Practical experience in communication, PR, or journalism is preferred.
Location & details
- This role is remote and full-time with a 35-hour work week.
- The position is paid and includes flexible working hours.
- Employees receive 30 vacation days, plus time off on December 24th and 31st.
