Job Title Pharmacy Assistant Department : Health Services Employment Type : Full-time / Part-time / Casual (Temporary Staffing) Job Purpose The Pharmacy Assistant assists licensed pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution, performing clinical and administrative tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate inventory management and delivering exceptional customer service in diverse healthcare settings, including First Nations communities. Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription and non-prescription medications Provide courteous, accurate customer service to patients and healthcare providers Package and label medications according to regulatory and organizational standards Maintain patient confidentiality and follow established policies and procedures Inventory & Medication Management: Receive, organize, and manage medication inventory Check for expired medications and restock supplies Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area Support administrative tasks such as data entry and record keeping Work Settings: FNHA-operated facilities including nursing stations, health centres, community clinics, and satellite locations Pharmacy roles within BC Health Authorities: Interior Health , Fraser Health , Vancouver Coastal Health , Vancouver Island Health , Northern Health , and PHSA Geographic Coverage: Assignments available across FNHA operational sites and BC Health Authorities in urban and rural locations.
