We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and customer-focused Part-Time Gelato Scooper & Barista to join our growing team!

Our café is located at a busy, high-traffic intersection, so we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can provide exceptional customer service while maintaining efficiency during busy rushes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 months of experience working in a cafe or gelato shop (required)
  • Valid Food Handler Certification (required)
  • Valid Smart Serve Certification (required)
  • Flexible availability to work morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy service periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve gelato and other café offerings with enthusiasm, professionalism, and attention to presentation
  • Operate our POS system to process orders and payments accurately
  • Assist guests with menu recommendations, answer questions, and confidently upsell products
  • Maintain consistent gelato portions and presentation standards
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures at all times
  • Keep the scoop station, display case, and customer areas clean, stocked, and organized
  • Prepare beverages, desserts, and other menu items as required
  • Restock products and supplies throughout the day
  • Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining accuracy and excellent customer service
  • Support teammates with opening, closing, cleaning, and other daily operational tasks

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 months of experience working in a cafe or gelato shop (required)
  • Experience using POS is considered an asset
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment where multitasking is essential
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Barista or café experience
  • Experience creating and serving specialty drinks
