Lyons Ltd. has been part of the community since 1913 - today, we continue the tradition of being a family-owned business serving Algoma as Island Timber Mart Kent's Corner, Lyons Timber Mart Black Rd., and Lyons Timber Mart Wellington.

Lyons Timber Mart is currently seeking a Part-Time Cash Associate to join our Wellington or Black Road Timber Mart location. The ideal candidate will find excitement in joining a team which provides customers with quality products, expert advice, and exceptional service.

As a Cash Associate, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers, providing exceptional service, and driving sales. Applicants must have customer service experience as well as a friendly attitude. Duties include processing cash, debit, credit and charge account transactions as well as answering/directing incoming phone calls, stocking shelves and general tidiness and upkeep of the store appearance. There is also the opportunity to learn new skills like mixing paint and sales. We have a great staff and a positive atmosphere and we cannot wait to add another member to the team.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills to build and maintain relationships with local clients
  • Basic math skills for cash duties
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly and outgoing personality who loves dealing with the public
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lb to assist customers and merchandise sales floor
