Overnight Full-Time Counter Server (W.Hastings location )

Breka Bakery & Cafe is a local family business established in 2006, with eight locations across Vancouver. As one of the city’s best-loved bakeries, we offer a wide variety of freshly prepared pastries, sandwiches, and beverages at reasonable prices. Open 24/7, 365 days a year, we strive to create a warm and caring space for every guest, whether it’s morning, midnight, or any time in between.

[Shifts & Hours]

  • Overnight Shift: From 11 PM to 7 AM
  • Full-time (30–40 hours/week)
  • Minimum 4 shifts required per week
  • Must be available to work for a minimum of 8 consecutive months -This position is not for the short term!
  • Open availability is preferred (Available on weekends, holidays/Ability to help cover overnight shifts when required)

[Key Responsibilities]

  • Warmly welcome every customer, answer menu questions, and assist with orders or special requests.
  • Provide attentive, friendly service so every customer leaves with a lasting, positive impression.
  • Prepare coffee and beverages following Breka’s recipes and quality standards.
  • Serve, heat, and package pastries and food with care for quality and presentation.
  • Handle in-store and online orders and process payments accurately using the POS system.
  • Restock and maintain the display showcase to keep it clean, full, and inviting.
  • Keep customer seating areas and the work environment clean, including washing dishes, cleaning washrooms, taking out garbage, and general cleaning duties.

  • Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

[Compensation & Benefits]

  • Overnight Shift Wage: Starting at $21 per hour (during the daytime training $19.50 per hour) + Shared Tips.
  • Growth: 4-month probation period, followed by performance reviews every 3 months with potential for wage increases.
