Job Overview

We are hiring for Order Picker Forklift Operator for a client in Brampton, Calgary, Vancouver, and Milton locations, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment. This energetic position involves selecting products from inventory, operating heavy equipment, and preparing shipments for delivery. Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and prepare customer orders using warehouse management systems and order picking equipment
  • Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods during transportation and storage
  • Use mechanical skills to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on warehouse equipment
  • Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying inventory accuracy and documentation
  • Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and warehouse activities
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and improve order fulfillment processes

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a warehouse distribution environment or similar setting is highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory control software
  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks
  • Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, including load & unload operations
  • Construction or industrial experience that involves heavy lifting or heavy equipment operation is a plus
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and protocols
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing
