We are seeking a NDT II to join our San Marcos team.

Shift Structure

  • 2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 - 11:30P

What You Will Do

  • Perform nondestructive testing (NDT) inspections in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct Level II examinations using applicable NDT methods, such as:

o Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

o Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)

o X-ray

  • Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain NDT equipment and accessories.
  • Evaluate and interpret test indications in accordance with applicable acceptance criteria.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including test parameters, equipment identification, calibration information, and findings.
  • Prepare clear and complete inspection reports and maintain required inspection records.
  • Identify nonconforming conditions and communicate inspection findings to supervisors, engineers, quality personnel, and customers as appropriate.
  • Ensure all inspections are performed in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of NDT equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and comply with all applicable safety requirements.
  • Support Level III personnel with procedure development, qualification activities, audits, and technical evaluations as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Current certification as an NDT Level II Technician in at least one applicable method.
  • 2 years' experience to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection procedures.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in aerospace.
  • Ability to accurately interpret inspection results and make determinations based on established requirements.
  • Ability to complete accurate inspection documentation and reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively with inspectors, engineers, technicians, and production personnel.
  • Ability to meet applicable physical requirements, including standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and working in confined or difficult-to-access areas, as required by the position.
  • Experience working with computerized inspection and reporting systems
  • Associate degree, technical certificate, military technical training, or other relevant technical education.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge on standards AS9100, NAS 410, ASME, ASTM

The salary range for this role is $61,000k/yr to $80,000k/yr USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
