The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking a native Malay speaker with expert-level language knowledge for a dictionary proofreading project. You will determine whether words are Malay, correct spelling, and proofread pronunciations according to a specified phoneme set.
The project is expected to end in July. You must be able to dedicate at least 3 hours per day during the project period, with an expected commitment of 20 or more hours per week.

What You'll Do
You will review dictionary entries and make precise corrections to both written forms and pronunciation representations. Pronunciation must be checked against the phoneme set provided for the project.
For example, you may correct an incorrectly transcribed pronunciation for a Malay word while also identifying spelling or word-form errors in the entry.
- Determine whether each word is Malay.
- Correct spelling errors in dictionary entries.
- Proofread pronunciations using the specified phoneme set.
- Review entries carefully to meet the required accuracy standard.
- Redo work when spot checks identify items below the required accuracy.
Requirements And Quality Standards
This project requires native Malay language ability, strong attention to detail, and sufficient availability to maintain consistent accuracy. Candidates must pass a test before starting the task.
The required accuracy is 97%. Quality will be assessed through spot checks, and non-compliant work found below the required accuracy must be redone.
