Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Candidates working in this post are appointed to inspect and reassemble equipment sanitized the previous night. They’re also appointed to rework and restock display cases to assess daily production needs and rotate products.

Candidates are also appointed to receive and rotate meat in the cooler. They’re also required to scan inventory, rework and destroy work at this post. Candidates will have to bring cases of meat, up to 80 lbs, from cooler and empty contents onto meat cutting or other preparation areas.

They’re required to cut and trim meat to Costco specification using a band saw, knives or automatic slicer. Candidates are appointed to operate a tenderizing machine and roast tyer. Candidates working in this post are appointed to clean and sanitize areas throughout the day.

They’re also required to perform duties to comply with health codes, such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures. They’re also required to dump meat onto the top of the machine and check the fat content of each batch from the grinder. Candidates for this post are appointed to follow proper department production procedures and standards for the quality and consistency of finished products.

They’re also required to transfer cut and ground meat to styro trays. Loads styro trays onto a large plastic tray and transfers to a large wheeled rack for wrappers. Candidates are also appointed to assist with wrapping and assisting with stocking meat cases according to the Meat Manager’s plan for product presentation and merchandising.

Job requirement

They must have completed a High School Diploma or GED to get preferred for this post. Candidates must get a food safety certification of level 1 to be eligible for this post. Candidates must have dedicated Meat-cutting experience and must pass the Costco meat-cutting test to be eligible for this post. Work setting
