Job Function

Material Handler / General Labour

Location: Etobicoke, ON

Shifts: Days, Afternoons, or Nights

Starting Wage: $17.93/hour

Position Summary

As a Material Handler / General Labourer, you will play an important role in supporting production by handling materials, building skids, and ensuring products are moved safely and efficiently throughout the facility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build skids at the end of the production line according to production requirements.
  • Operate a forklift when required.
  • Use a pump truck to move pallets to designated areas.
  • Complete production documentation accurately.
  • Follow all company production, quality, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other general labour duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous material handling or warehouse experience is an asset.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Able to lift up to 30–40 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team.

Working Environment

  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Noisy and warm work conditions.
  • CSA-approved steel-toed safety footwear is required.
  • Eye and hearing protection must be worn.
