Manager, Marketing Programs and Events

About the position

The Manager, Marketing Programs & Events owns two connected things: League's flagship event, League CONNECT, and the year-round programs that engage the community of leaders who convene around it. Reporting to the Director, Brand Experience & Communications, this role goes beyond running a great event — it's about designing and stewarding an ongoing membership-style experience for a global community of healthcare leaders, of which CONNECT is the annual centrepiece. This person co-designs the community's full calendar: exclusive programming like thought leadership content, regional roundtables, and other member benefits that keep this group engaged with League and each other between CONNECT events. They combine event operations rigor with the relationship-building instincts of someone who has run or worked closely with a membership organization (e.g., YPO or similar) — comfortable with executive-level stakeholders, and able to think in terms of a member journey rather than a single event lifecycle. League's events and community programs are its most direct signal of market credibility, and the quality of this experience directly reflects our positioning as the world's leading platform for AI-driven healthcare CX.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end project management of League CONNECT alongside the Director, Brand Experience & Communications — League's primary brand moment and the community's flagship annual gathering.
  • Own the attendee/member experience from registration through post-event, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the elevated, exclusive nature of the community.
  • Own digital strategy and demand gen for the event, partnering with internal teams on promotional tactics (email, social, SMS) that drive registration, attendance, and engagement.
  • Apply strong digital marketing instincts across the full event lifecycle so the digital experience is as considered and on-brand as the in-person one.
  • Collaborate with the internal Events & Design team and external agency on event operations — budget tracking, timeline management, cross-functional coordination.
  • Manage hotel, venue, and event agency relationships — room blocks, F&B, on-site logistics.
  • Own on-site execution alongside the event agency — run-of-show, real-time troubleshooting, vendor coordination.
  • Co-design and own the annual calendar of programming for League's community of leaders — thought leadership content, regional roundtables, member-exclusive convenings, and other benefits that extend the community's engagement beyond CONNECT itself.
  • Define and evolve what \"membership\" in this community means — value proposition, benefits tiering, cadence of touchpoints, and criteria for participation — in partnership with the Director, Brand Experience & Communications.
  • Build relationships with community members between events; act as a consistent, recognizable point of contact who understands their priorities and can represent League with executive presence.
  • Identify and program regional roundtables and smaller-format gatherings that deepen relationships with members in priority markets.
  • Curate and manage thought leadership opportunities for members — speaking slots, content contributions, peer introductions — that reinforce their reason to stay engaged.
  • Support production and execution of Ignite, Power Up, and other owned events with the same operational rigor as CONNECT.
  • Maintain consistent standards for vendor management, budget tracking, and on-site execution across all owned events.
  • Support trade show and field marketing events where capacity allows — digital promotion, vendor coordination, on-site support, logistics.

Requirements

  • Owned complex, multi-stakeholder events end-to-end — and you're excited to extend that ownership into building an ongoing community, not just a single moment a year.
  • Program management experience, ideally from a membership-based organization (e.g., YPO or similar) — you know how to design a calendar of benefits and touchpoints that keep senior members engaged year-round.
  • Executive presence — comfortable being a trusted point of contact for senior healthcare leaders and can represent League credibly in those relationships.
  • Extensive digital marketing experience alongside large-scale event expertise, and understand how digital and in-person experiences reinforce one another.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to run multiple workstreams — event logistics and community programming — at once without sacrificing quality.
  • Managed vendors, agencies, and hotel/venue relationships, and you brief partners clearly and hold them accountable.
  • Comfortable managing budgets — tracking spend, flagging variances, keeping programs on track.
  • Love agile, fast-paced environments and move easily across a wide variety of stakeholder groups, from internal teams to C-suite community members.
  • Fluent with AI tools and believe the best outcomes come from humans and technology working together.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools in a practical, responsible way
  • Curiosity and openness to experimenting with new technologies
  • Ability to balance efficiency with quality and sound judgment
