About the position

As a VON nurse, you'll deliver holistic person-centred care to children, youth, adults, seniors, and support their families. Responsibilities

  • Client assessments
  • Provide primary care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Medication administration
  • Wound care
  • Chronic Disease Management, e.g. diabetes care and education
  • Specimen collection
  • Rehabilitative programs
  • Palliative Care
  • And many other critical nursing skills

Requirements

  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice
  • Must enjoy driving, have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check required
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Nice-to-haves

  • Community health experience is an asset
